We're Going To Be Mesmerized This Weekend!

Those of you attending the Vans Warped Tour concert this Saturday, August 1st, at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park should be excited to know that the Berry Chill cart will be there too! Although there are supposed to be isolated thunderstorms in the early afternoon on Saturday, us Chicagoans can always count on the weathers tendency to beat the odds. Regardless, it should be a great concert this weekend rain or shine! To all you Warped Tour fans- HAVE A BLAST!

Peace easy,

Yogi

Pictures As Promised!

Yesterday, the Imerman Angels and the Berry Chill crew teamed up to serve tasty treats for our monthly yogurt social at Prentice Memorial Hospital. Kudos to Yogi for snapping a great pic of the team!

It's that time of the month again!

Berry Chill and Imerman Angels have teamed up for a monthly ice cream (or yogurt, rather) social at Prentice Memorial every first Tuesday of the month. With that said, tomorrow, July 28th, Berry Chill will be at Prentice serving some nutritional yogurt to patients, families, doctors, and nurses. Our most recent experience with the Imerman Angels at the yogurt social (we just can't manage to call it an ice cream social, bear with me) was a great success. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming, so we just can't wait to get back into the groove of things tomorrow!

Yogi lost his camera last week, but where there's a will, there's a way- we WILL manage to post a pic or two of the great team working the event tomorrow!

We'll BC'in ya!

Who's Itching For Some Ravinia Tickets?

Berry Chill has been at Ravinia all summer, and we want to invite you to come party with us! We love Ravinia for the fantastic musical acts they put on from many genres that appeal to a broad audience. With that said, we know that Berry Chill addicts are young and old alike...so we thought, why not give these addicts a chance to satisfy their taste buds and soothe their souls at Ravinia? If you already have a show in mind, let Yogi know which one you would like to attend by commenting on this post or by hitting Yogi up on his Twitter page (Click here )! Or, if you're not sure which shows Ravinia has lined up for the rest of the summer, Click here to check out Ravinia's schedule and let Yogi know as soon as you can!

Yogi Witnessed History

Mark Buehrle of the Chicago White Sox pitched a perfect game yesterday, July 23rd. He became the 18th Major League Baseball player to pitch a perfect game- what an achievement! Yogi couldn't help but notice that after BC's recent migration to U.S. Cellular Field, Buehrle made baseball history, call Yogi crazy if you want but it must be the yogurt!

From all of us at Berry Chill, congratulations Mark Buehrle! You are Chicago's gem. We know that you will continue to make us proud!

Coldplay+Berry Chill= A Super Chill Crowd?

Berry Chill will be keeping it uber chill this weekend at the Coldplay concert on Saturday July 25th at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre. According to meteorologists, Saturday is set to hit a high of 80 degrees! Yogi is eager to unleash his inner rocker, and with that weather in mind, nothing can stop him from jamming out! If your fellow concert goers are rocking out too hard and you need a break, don't hesitate to grab a tasty treat at the BC stand in the Expo Center! BC could quite possibly be one of the only food options at the concert that won't drain your wallet to the very last penny. Go crazy, rockers!

It’s rarely all work and no play…

What a weekend! Berry Chill was at both Dave Matthews Band shows in Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. There were a good handful of Chicagoans that were really jonesin' for some BC, and we were more than happy to satisfy their craving. The band put on a great show and brought out a HUGE crowd!

The BC cart will also be in the carousel at the John Legend show tonight, July 21st, at the Ravinia Festival. Stop by and see us if you’re there!

Yogi would like to leave you all with one message: Rock on, rockstars!

Do you suffer from late-night BC withdrawal?

We’ve got you covered! We have extended our delivery hours to 11:00 p.m., last call at 10:30 p.m. So call in, and indulge in a healthy late night treat ;)

We Hate the Meter Maids Just as Much as You Do!

What? Berry Chill is now offering Curbside Service!

Where? Our State location (635 N. State)

When? Monday-Friday! From 4:00-6:00 p.m.

Why? We know that there are BC addicts out there who just can't wait to break out of the office after work and get their BC on. However, for some, a car and a meter maid get in the way. So, after work, let us bring your Berry Chill fix to you! The yogurt will be all the more satisfactory...

How it works: When you're ready, just call in your order to State, (312) 266-2445, and we'll take down your name and the type of car you'll be pulling up in. Give us a call when you're a few minutes away and we'll meet you outside! We ask that you pay for your yogurt at the time of your order with a credit card so that we can bring it out to your car in a timely manner!

Time flies when you're in dire need of Berry Chill!

T.G.I.F. and T.G.F.BC.

The weekend has FINALLY arrived, and Berry Chill is ready to rock out with the likes of Def Leppard w/ Poison and Cheap Trick! BC will be serving some probiotic goodness at the concert tonight, July 17th, at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre.

Just like the superb rockstar that he is, Yogi is planning on waking up bright and early to go all the way to Wisconsin Saturday, July 18th to serve some more yogurt to the audience at the Dave Matthews Band concert in Alpine Valley. Talk about spreading the love! We'll be taking pictures, so fret not my devout BC followers, we'll share our experiences with you! Stay tuned chilled yogurt lovers!

It's been a hard day's night...

...And BC will be working like a dog... This weekend, that is! Berry Chill will be present at many events this weekend and we wanted to share our whereabouts with you!

This Friday, July 10th, we will be serving Berry Chill at Kennedy College for Common Threads from 12-2 p.m. Common Threads is a foundation premised upon educating children about the importance of nutrition and physical well-being. At Berry Chill, we care about you and the world in which you live in. The mission of Common Threads falls perfectly in line with our concern for healthy nutrition and, thus, a healthier environment.

Following our culinary enhancing visit, we will be serving at the 2009 ISCD Texas Hold’em Tournament at the Hard Rock Hotel located at 230 North Michigan Avenue. For those of you who aren't familiar with ISCD, the acronym stands for The Israel Sports Center for The Disabled. Doors open for the event at 5:30 p.m. and BC will be there until 9:00 p.m. All the proceeds from the night will go toward the Preschool Program at the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled. Let's Get Fit!

Over the past decade, fitness has taken on a whole new meaning. It's no longer just associated with hitting the gym and what you eat- it's about HOW you look and less about FEELING good. If that wasn't enough, we all have to factor in the current status of our economy. With that being said, all of us at Berry Chill sincerely want to help make lifestyles changes less of a fantasy and more of a reality!

We are teaming up with Zipcar, Chicago's largest car sharing service, to participate in this year's Low-Car Diet! This is a great opportunity for Chicagoans to experience all the benefits of living car-free and instead, opt for a healthier and more active lifestyle. Zipcar and Berry Chill are searching for 30 local contestants who will pledge to live car-free and take on a healthier lifestyle for one month beginning July 15th. With the participation of Equinox, Ortanic, Halo salons, and lululemon, Berry Chill will be making sure that you stay healthy (adding in a daily dose of our chilled yogurt doesn't hurt either...) Can you think of an easier way to make AND stick to a mid-year resolution?

Stay tuned dear readers. Yogi will post most info asap. Who's interested?!

The power of Twitter

As most of you know, Yogi is a social media fiend and this past week Twitter began buzzing with word that Peter Shankman, a "social media CEO adventurist" or in other words an "entrepreneur, author, speaker, and worldwide connector" (www.shankman.com) would be in town making a special stop at Berry Chill on 635 N. State today, July 2nd at 10 a.m. And boy were we pleasantly surprised when we saw the turn out this morning! Charismatic and generous (he treated the entire crowd!), we are delighted that he wanted to share with the crowd his expertise as well as with a nutritious treat this morning.

Yogurt Social

Hi all! Yesterday Berry Chill teamed up with the Imerman Angels Foundation to participate in their monthly ice cream social at Prentice Memorial Hospital. Just to give you all a little background information, Imerman Angels is a not-for-profit organization that connects a person fighting cancer today with someone who has beaten the same type of cancer. They provide support to cancer fighters and survivors across the United States and will never turn anyone down.

We also wanted to take this opportunity to thank the gracious volunteers and express our utter awe of their inner strength. The energy of the volunteers lifted the spirits of everyone at the ice cream social and we cannot wait for next month!
